UK Whitegoods offers a range of delivery options that all have their own pros and cons as well as varying levels of service and differing price points.

By offering delivery this way we are able to allow you to judge what suits you best for any particular item in level of service, track and trace, features and of course cost.

This means that the prices for items you see exclude delivery and, you simply add the service that suits your needs and budget as you choose. We do not try to railroad you into any particular service and it allows us to be transparent on the pricing of shipping.

Here's our quick recommendations:

Non-urgent, small items, cheapest: Use Royal Mail

Non or semi-urgent small/medium items: Use economy courier (tracked)

Large more valuable items or urgent: Use a courier option

Items as fast as possible: Royal Mail first class or courier

It is important to know that Royal Mail have raised their prices over the years and often this means that even small parts, should they be the wrong shape to fit Royal Mail's dimension requirements have risen significantly in cost to ship, even if they weigh little. This means that the cost to post an item can be greater than the cost of the part itself.

The current Royal Mail pricing can be found here and as you can see, most spare parts due to size and/or weight will carry an absolute minimum price of £2.80 excluding packaging costs.

Please do note that once items are shipped using Royal Mail services that we have no control over the delivery time and that all we can provide is estimated transit times based on information from Royal Mail

For all Royal Mail items, if you think delivery is late or lost please see this information page on the Royal Mail website for advice on what to do.

Delivery Using Royal Mail First Class Service

Royal Mail's first class delivery service is the service that we will most often recommend for small to medium sized items that are not of especially high value and that are required speedily. There are numerous advantages for the small additional cost of this service.

It is rare that we have a problem with this service and, while it is not a guaranteed next day service like courier services, it is in our practical experience 90% or more a next day delivery service after dispatch. It is also much cheaper than courier services and incurs no extra charges to deliver into remote areas.

For the minimal extra cost over economy services where none of these advantages are available we recommend the use of this service to most people for most spare parts.

Especially during holiday and other busy period we would strongly recommend this as a minimum service.

  • Orders sent by Royal Mail first class services do not have the ability to be tracked or traced!

For all Royal Mail items, if you think delivery is late or lost please see this information page on the Royal Mail website for advice on what to do.

Economy Courier Service

Economy courier services are provided by Hermes.

Typically from day of dispatch this will take 1-3 days however most packages will be delivered inside 48 hours and this service comes with a complimentary insurance covering loss or damage.

For most spare parts that are not absolutely urgent, this is the service we recommend as it can be tracked, it is a signed for service and has many advantages over standard Royal Mail services for very little extra cost, if any as it often proves to be cheaper.

Delivery Using Royal Mail Economy Service

Should you choose the normal economy delivery the service used is Royal Mail 48 service that is ideal for non-urgent or spare parts that are not time sensitive items. If you require a spare part urgently we would not recommend using this service.

  • Orders sent by Royal Mail economy services do not have the ability to be tracked or traced!

Royal Mail advise on their website that: "Items sent by 1st Class, 2nd Class and Royal Mail Signed For are not classed as lost until 15 working days after the due date."

Items dispatched by Royal Mail cannot be considered to be "lost" until this period has expired.

If you suspect an item has gone astray please check with your local Post Office and/or Sorting Office for packets that may be waiting collection and the card left by your local postman has been lost or damaged. We cannot do this for you as Royal Mail will only communicate with the recipient and not the sender. Royal Mail will not investigate for us until the fifteen working days has expired.

For all Royal Mail items, if you think delivery is late or lost please see this information page on the Royal Mail website for advice on what to do.

It is our experience however that most packages are delivered within 48-72 hours and the service from Royal Mail is excellent and excellent value for money but you have to keep in mind that it can take longer than this in some instances.

If your spare part order is urgent or you wish to have the ability to track the order or, for us to be able to track it for you, please do not choose this service as there are limitations to it and it does take longer than the other options available.

Delivery Using Courier Services

A courier, we normally will use Interlink/DPD, will deliver Mon-Fri during normal business hours however in more remote areas other services may be used.

  • To ensure the safe delivery of your order courier services will require a signature upon delivery for most packages

If they cannot get a signature they will not leave the package but will return it to the local depot where you can call and have a redelivery or collection arranged.

This service is excellent and offers you text and/or email updates to track your order, anticipated delivery time and more but sadly it does cost more.

After dispatch, like Royal Mail, the delivery address cannot be altered.

Couriers do not deliver on Bank Holidays or at the weekend without incurring a significant premium.

Estimated Delivery Times

Most items in our store have an estimated delivery date on the listing. This is the estimated time for the item to be delivered to you from point of order in working days, excluding weekends and bank holidays and are often better than indicated.

The exception are certain manufacturers products that are not stocked in the UK.

Notably Liebherr, Amica and Lofra spares are often ordered from factory and can take several weeks to arrive, we are not given guaranteed delivery times or dates and there is normally no way to track these factory orders. Whilst we give the best indication possible in our listings it is not possible to be completely accurate in some cases as spare part orders can, on occasion, take longer to arrive in the UK.
